We're High on Highsmith!

Join Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW), Milwaukee Film, Boswell Books and Ex Fabula for a multi-organization celebration and retrospective of acclaimed crime novelist Patrica Highsmith. Throughout September and October these organizations will offer their own unique events or displays based on Highsmith’s works for audiences to engage with.   

Milwaukee Film will kick things off with film screenings of some of Highsmith’s most popular film adaptations. The screenings are:

• The Talented Mr. Ripley on September 8

• The American Friend on September 15

• Strangers on a Train on September 22

Tickets can be purchased at mkefilm.org.

Boswell Books will feature an assortment of Highsmith’s books in their store from in September/October. Book lovers will get thrills as they dive into Highsmith’s various works, like the ever popular Ripley novels or The Price or Salt/Carol. 

Ex Fabula will be leading a story workshop and story slam on October 28th at Next Act Theatre space. Participants will get the opportunity to work on their storytelling skills with prompts worthy of Highsmith herself. The workshop concludes with a story slam session on the stage with the SWITZERLAND set in the background.
