In 'Buyer & Cellar,' Doug Clemons visits Barbra Streisand's secret shopping mall
Plug Doug Clemons into a play or musical, and the result, in sports terms, is instant offense, something exciting and productive — a wink, a shriek, a song, an artful move.

‘Buyer & Cellar’ Offers Lightweight Laughs at Renaissance
There’s more fiction than fact in Buyer & Cellar, an unusual play being staged by Renaissance Theaterworks. The show opened last weekend at the Next Act Theater in Milwaukee’s Harbor District and continues through April 13. That’s clear from the start, as this one-man show begins with a lengthy disclaimer. As out-of-work actor Alex More, well-known Milwaukee actor Doug Clemons tells the audience that none of the plot is true.

BUYER & CELLAR Delights at RENAISSANCE
“Memories light the corners of my mind.” In melodramatic fashion, Barbra singing that pensive tune will play over my fond memories of Buyer & Cellar at Renaissance Theaterworks. Directed by Ray Jivoff and starring Doug Clemons, this quirky and charming one-man show is a delight not to be missed—particularly for fans of the incomparable Barbra Streisand.
